The US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has sanctioned 134 cryptocurrency wallet addresses connected to the terrorist group ISIS-K. Among these, 131 addresses on the Tron blockchain were identified as having received over $1.4 million in crypto donations, according to Chainalysis, as reported by CoinTelegraph.

In response to the sanctions, stablecoin issuer Tether has frozen the funds associated with these addresses to prevent further misuse. This coordinated effort highlights ongoing regulatory actions targeting illicit crypto activity linked to terrorist financing.

For Japanese investors and market participants, this development underscores the increasing scrutiny on crypto transactions and the importance of compliance with global sanctions regimes in the digital asset space.
