US futures showed mixed movement on Monday as investors adjusted to expectations of a gentler Federal Reserve rate hike. Dow Jones futures dipped 0.12%, trading around 53,740 during European hours, according to FX Street. Meanwhile, S&P 500 futures edged higher near 7,820, and Nasdaq 100 futures surged 0.5% to about 30,290.
The British Pound climbed to a three-month high of 1.3570 against the US Dollar, boosted by a softer Fed outlook and Dollar weakness, FX Street reported. This rebound in sterling follows Goldman Sachs’ assessment that a September interest-rate increase from the Fed is 'very unlikely,' according to CoinDesk.
For Japanese investors, these developments highlight the continuing impact of US monetary policy signals on global FX and equity markets, especially as the yen remains sensitive to shifts in the Dollar and risk sentiment.
